While we work closely with other agencies such as the police and social services, we are independent.

Support WISH can offer:

• The chance to talk over your situation in a safe environment with a trained woman who will listen in a non-judgemental way.
• Access to group support for sharing experiences.
• Help to make a plan to keep you and your children safe.
• Support with accessing legal protection.
• Help to make your home secure.
• Support to access safe emergency (or longer-term) accommodation.
• Help with other practical issues.

We will give you information about your options, but will not tell you what to do. We can go with you to appointments. You can talk to someone in the evenings and at the weekends.

You can ask the police, or your housing officer, health professional, social worker etc. to make a referral to us.
