Wish are now providing a service for young people between the ages of 11 and 24 who are using or experiencing abuse in their relationships through one to one and group work support. We also provide a Parenting support service for parents who are experiencing abuse from their children. More details about Wish's exciting new 11-24 project are below:
Choice
Ten week group work programme to address young male and female's use of
violence/abuse in their relationships by supporting them to use alternative, non violent strategies to deal with their anger. Two groups will run each week, one for 11-16 year olds and one for 17-24 year olds.
A requirement of the CHOICES programme is that Wish also engage with the victims of this abuse in order to monitor risk, increase safety and provide emotional support.
Parenting Support
Where parents are being abused by their children, Wish provide safety planning and work collaboratively with parents to empower change within these relationships. In April 2012 we are providing a 13 week parenting support group in conjunction with Span (Single Parent Action Network).
One to One
key working sessions to support young people aged between 11 and 15 who are experiencing violence or abuse within their relationships.
Aspire
Group work support for young people aged between 16 and 24 who need support around their experiences of violence and abuse within their relationships.
